Behind the Glass
Learning something completely new at 38 has been equal parts exciting, humbling, and rewarding. Building Floating Glass has meant learning far more than how to create a beautiful, luxurious balloon bouquet — it’s been technique, design, photography, marketing, website building, problem-solving, and a whole lot of trial and error behind the scenes, all on top of my most important work: being a wife and mother.
What I love most is that I get to grow this skill in the middle of the life I value most, as a wife and a stay-at-home mom, with my children often right there beside me, getting excited over every balloon that comes upstairs. Even my older daughters will be part of the business through deliveries and logistics, which makes this feel less like a job and more like something our family is building together.
I’ve invested in a business, but I’m also gaining a passion, a creative outlet, and a skill set I’m genuinely proud to keep growing. There is something really special about discovering a new adventure in a season of life where family comes first — and getting to work with my hands while doing it feels especially meaningful to me. I’m truly proud of myself and my family for everything we’re pouring into Floating Glass, and I humbly believe God is pleased with the way we’re using our hands, our gifts, and this season of life with purpose. Thank you for floating by and supporting me.
